My nail journey began in 2010 following a 16 year career in Banking. At first I did both as my paid job subsidised my training and kit, the same year I was offered my first job within a salon, which meant I now had three sources of income, my paid job, salon and mobile work as well as three children at home. I began learning and training hard and very soon I was presented with a decision, I chose to make nails my career, at that time it was a gamble but I was determined to make it work and I’ve never looked back.
In 2012 I opened my own salon and in the same year was asked to educate for a well known international nail brand which introduced me to international training of the highest standard.
I have placed 1st and 3rd in Beauty UK and Professional Beauty photographic competitions and have been a Scratch Awards finalist twice, once in 2015 for L & P and in 2017 my own salon nail team were finalists. I have had much of my work published in Scratch Magazine and I’ve been part of a Q and A expert panel in Guild Magazine.
My love for nails has also provided me with the opportunity to work on many shows and events including London Fashion Week and Miss World 2019.
But my real passion is in the classroom teaching and educating nail technicians, Hazel has always been my inspiration because of her attitude to work and standards, her professionalism and of course her amazing skills and knowledge, so my next journey as an HD Educator is exciting not just for me but what it will mean for my students.Look forward to meeting you
