Andrea began her training in the beauty industry in 1997, 25 years ago and is qualified in beauty therapy and nail services to level 3 and hairdressing to level 2. Andrea is passionate about the beauty industry and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with her students at college, where she has been an educator, assessor and internal verifier since 2004. Andrea has achieved the certificate in education from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008 and has been an ambassador and educator for CND since 2011. She is a City & Guilds consultant within the beauty industry. In her career she has been awarded the AHT Innovative Individual award (2022), the City & Guilds medal for excellence lecturer (2018), the inspirational educator award from the worshipful company of educators (2015) and was a finalist at the scratch star awards for educator of the year (2019). Andrea believes in life long learning and has recently completed an MBA focussing on education. Competitions have been a passion of Andreas since 2006 and has mentored over 150 student competition achievements. Andrea believes competitions help refine and increase your practical and organisation skills which will help you in your career. She has been a competition judge in the nail industry for many years. Andrea works in industry, self employed within a salon in Cheshire and has adored using the HD brand on her clients and within the classroom.
